The ACNN Approach to Training
ACNN Training is now firmly established as `Trainers for the Voluntary Sector`
A dedicated training department and city centre facilities means that excellent training is available for all voluntary and statautory organisations within the East Midlands, whatever their client group.
With skilful and experienced trainers we may not be the cheapest but we are certainly the best - just see what our delegates say about us!
Our methods are based on valuing the sills and experiences of delegates, thereby enhancing their learning, so they can actively build on these whilst broadening their knowledge base. All our courses maximise on these principles to ensure that everyone is involved throughout. This is encapsulated in the workds of a Chinese proverb:
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand
By making sessions participative we avoid long spells of `trainer talk` and encourange a relaxed, open atmosphere in which each participant can contribute and learn freely.

Venue
We have our own wheelchair accessible training facility with easy access by public transport. Due to its City Centre location, there are plenty of cafes and shops within the vicinity and adequate public car parking facilities close at hand.
Courses start and finish times
Registration and coffee for all courses is from 9.45 am for a 10.00 am start. All full day courses finish at 4.00pm and half day ones at 1.00pm. All handouts are included in the cost and can be provided on paper, disc or email. Refreshments are provided throughout the day. Lunch is included on all full day courses.
Evaluation Forms/Certificates
All course participants are expected to complete an evaluation form and will receive an ACNN Certificate of Achevement which can be used toward their Continuous Professional Development.
Payment
We accept cheques, BACS transfers or we can invoice. Please either send your cheque with the Course Booking Form or indicate that you would like us to invoice you. All course fees must be paid at least two weeks in advance of the course date (it is important to attach the remittance slip with all invoice payments).
Delegate Substitution/Cancellation
If a delegate is unable to take their place on a course, we would be happy to accept substitution. Please telephone to effect any changes, paying particular attention to any special needs or dietary preferences of the substitute delegate.
Cancellation of Courses
ACNN Training reserves the right to cancel a course at any time without liability. In these circumstances, delegates will be offered an alternative date, or a full refund.
Where delegates cancel a booking, the following will apply:
All course fees for cancellations made at least one week prior to course date are refunded in full
Cancellations made less than one week but more than 48 hours prior to the course date will be subjected to a £15 administration charge
No refunds will be made for cancellations within 48 hours of course date or if delegates fail to
attend
